This is the third novel in the Goldie Bear series. There is a nice continuity in this one from the previous book (Dying for Chocolate) minus one omission, Marla's family connections. I liked that Julian is now a big part of Goldie's family life. I wasn't really moved by the whole gotta get to the top college plot/craze. We don't have that kind of system here. The main character is annoys me to no end but the secondary characters are pretty good but it's strange reading a series for the sidekicks.
