Doctor Who series featuring the Ninth Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack. Russia, some godforsaken forgotten place where people are existing and surviving on the nuclear submarines the Russian military "forgot" there. Captain Jack answers some distress signal and the Doctor, Rose and Captain Jack stumble into this terrible forgotten place where a lost alien artifact is waiting to be found. That's mostly the plot. It's in the scary with slimy aliens genre. Interesting enough to keep my interest. Jack is Jack. The Doctor does his thing and Rose does her. This offers more an action Rose, who goes and saves herself than a Rose who needs to be rescued. Jack does the action hero thingie very well. Not enough interaction between all three characters but over all an interesting plot. I liked it.
