Theo is indeed a lightening rod for trouble. In this she finds herself involve in murder and arson. Rare orchids, a canoe ride from hell with Drayton tagging along for fun, a clever murderer. All the ingredients are there for a good, solid mystery with a few nice twists. Theo's relationship with Parker grows. Childs' handling of this relationship is fun and in character. It could have easily turn out to be a very bad idea.
