Get Lucky (Tall, Dark & Dangerous, Book 9)

Get Lucky (Tall, Dark & Dangerous, Book 9) - Suzanne Brockmann This is one was rather surprisingly good. Luke "Lucky" O'Donlon has been in the background since the beginning of the series. Most of the time he was this very shallow, playing the field guy that I didn't think I would like as the main character but I was wrong.Brockmann actually plays on that impression with a humor and a playfulness that makes Lucky human and quite an appealing hero. The female lead is one of the series stronger female lead. She has a wicked sense of humor (she nicknames Lucky "Ken" as in Ken doll), a purpose in life and a determination that makes her character enjoyable and not just a pretty face, damsel in distress type of character. Sydney is far from being the Barbie to Lucky's Ken doll. The plot is more intricate than usual and uses some recurring characters from earlier books as more than drive by cameo. Another plus.
