Persuasion

Persuasion - Amanda Root, Jane Austen I'm slowly making my way through Jane Austen's novels. I especially wanted to read this one because of the gab in time between the first relationship between Anne and Frederic and the second time they meet. Can you recapture love the second time around? Can you overcome the burden of the disappointment and the heartbreak to start anew? I liked how Austen is very critical of the time in which she lived. Most of the characters aren't sympathetic or anyone you would want as a friend or family member. This was a Librivox audiobook. It had been a long time since I'd enjoyed an audiobook so much. I especially liked the way the readers made come alive Mary and Elizabeth.
