De Sang Froid

De Sang Froid - Denis Sigur This was truly amazing. Clinical, cold but yet compassionate toward both victims and the killers. Capote did it first and did it with panache and great talent. This is the account of the chase for the killers of a Kansas family killed on a November night. He wrote the facts, got inside the killers, the victims, the people of the tiny city where the killings occurred. I had not background for this. I am not really a fan of real tragedy type of literature ala Ann Rule. What makes this one work is the incredible way Capote has to make the reader part of the story yet not so close that you get too close. Very glad I read it.
