Not as good as The Unsung Hero mostly because the plot has too many subplots going on. There's something wrong with your lead characters if you spend 1/3 of the book on secondary characters sizzling interactions (Alyssa/Sam). Either your leads are not that interesting or you got more interested in the other couple's history. But the action, the whole military atmosphere is as good as the first book and the WW2 subplot (Eve and Rafe, I kept seeing Rafe Fines in the role) is in my book more interesting than the lead characters romance. Still a better read than a whole lot of other romance novels. Will definitely read the next one in the series : Over the Edge
