Set in her Coda universe, this book introduces Zach and Angelo, two men very different from each other. They build a tentative relationship through friendship and eventually Zach gets that Angelo likes him, likes him. It's a very different relationship than the one that Sexton developed in Promises. Angelo is very uncertain, has had a difficult start in his life. Zach is more the slacker type. I must say these two characters didn't really hook me like the ones in Promises did. Your miles may vary. A very soft 3 stars.
