This was a gift from me to me. More a young adult non fiction on the travels of Marco Polo it gives the reader an overview of the times, the political climate, the geographical and historical facts and legends behind Marco Polo's legendary journeys. Each thematic is presented on two pages along with maps, photographs, parts you lift of the page, parts you take out and examine closely. The book itself is a lovely art piece in itself. The publisher did another one like this on Darwin's voyage, also a lovely, lovely book.
