L'ombre de Thot (French Edition)

L'ombre de Thot (French Edition) - Michael Peinkofer Translated from German, this action oriented novel doesn't bring anything new to the genre of "Victorian archaeologist in pursuit of a treasure that an evil trust also wants". The plot points are all predictable from the identity of the villain to the Touareg Prince in disguise who is of course part English and a gentleman (an Orlando Bloom perfect role). The Egyptology is okay but not as good or as interesting as Elizabeth Peters'. The one redeeming quality of this novel is the lead character, Sarah Kincaid who is a wonderful character flaws and all. Brave, smart, short tempered but also fearless, she makes a good Indiana Jones. If only her supporting cast and adventure were as good as she is.
