A good story but it was missing something for me to completly get on board this love/lust at first sight between Jon and Gabby. I found I had difficulties with Jon's past abuse in his childhood and how he dealt with it. How him coming back after his father's passing (Tyler, Jon's brother dealt with the abuse in book 1) and the nightmares coming back, the drinking, his push/pull attitude with Gabby sounded forced to me, like I didn't have enough stake in his background. Unlike Gabby who's character shows layers from the start. Average Mayberry but ... an average Mayberry is loads better than the average romance by a lot.
